✔ Tell us who you are and what martial arts you are in particular (which AM you teach)

Master Lajolo: I deal with exporting the Italian tradition with the Lajolo system, I deal with both tradition/folklore and defense/attack by weapons , I taught in various parts of the world, in Russia for 6 years on a monthly basis I started to make known our all-Italian reality, in Ukraine as well as in Australia and America I was among the first to make known the art martial of ours, and make it so appreciated to a world that until a few years ago did not know its existence.

✔ What martial art did you begin with, what was your beginning, a teacher or more masters you remember?.

Master Lajolo: The first approaches were with judo , a discipline that in the 70s/80s was the master, then with Masters such as Maltese and Ligorio I established a relationship of mutual esteem and friendship, but that over the years has since been dozed by the distance and work that has continually pushed me to numerous trips.

✔Tho you think about today’s martial landscape and UFC/etc. competitions?.

Master Lajolo: I think that you have lost the reality is the essence of art itself , unfortunately the competitions require precise rules and engagements that often generate in the real conflict Often disadvantageous Openings , unfortunately today’s panorama teaches that being discovered is risky and often for sporting needs you neglect reality. Moving instead to the competitive and athletic part you have exactly the opposite, a fundamental renewal, sport is certainly important but should not be kept isolated .

✔When did you decide to teach and fight?.

Master Lajolo: Exactly in 1999, I realized that insertion was an integral part of my life, in 2001 I turned professional, definitely combat is part of my being and I continue to do so just to keep my standard high.

✔Wale hours you spend training (athletic preparation and more, how do you divide your training) and if you think it’s an impresant thing?.

Master Lajolo: On average from 6/8 hours a day divided into physical preparation and teaching, I consider the fundamental thing to always be at the top , I consider absurd instructors with bellies and florets, martial art is an important and necessary mental attitude therefore to maintain a physical mental behavior that best teach to those who approach art , it seems absurd to me when I see belly that with difficulty move …, there more than teachers of martial activities seem to me table teachers.

✔ What method do you use to teach your students, how do you plan your lessons?.

Master Lajolo: Split between physical training, tactical / strategic, and finally great importance to the mental, if you face a technical-only training you risk to the mind and not get to face the real fight with the appropriate attitude (stress etc…).

✔ Who were the masters or characters that inspired you?.

Master Lajolo: But in reality many and all those who have made their passion a job, I am inspired by people strong in spirit and with a suitable education, art being such requires not only talent but a lot of culture and information.

✔ What equipment do you prefer to use to train and train

Master Lajolo: Depends on the type of training, when it is mental, I prefer real weapons for a greater understanding of the danger, I abhor those who use simulacra pretending to be real training, when instead I face a tactical physical preparation I use materials attire to preserve the student, everything that avoids damage , I remember that getting hurt in the gym is not from real men but from sick , if you create damage .., what happens when the same limits me then in reality?

✔ Your negative experience in martial arts?.

Master Lajolo: Negative everything that generates envy , many not being professionals, discredit in an almost parasitic way who is, causing misunderstandings to those who want to approach this or that discipline.

This saddens me, they should devote their time in improving both in communication and in the reality of teaching.

✔What strengths in martial art do you practice that you want to communicate to our listeners?.

Master Lajolo: There are no fundamental points, if you want to improve you have to understand the whole, a good school is concerned with giving a thorough and comprehensive education, from communication to training to the way to compare with others, also moving to the image, dressing, diction etc…

Often I find myself in trouble myself, for example with English, but alas time is short and in the short time I try to improve myself with private lessons , but often we find ourselves in small lassi of time and with the mind elsewhere , unfortunately this is a gap to work on.

✔ Is there anything you wouldn’t repeat in your path?.

Master Lajolo: Absolutely not I would do everything again, maybe with a more congruent mentality, but the experience is done over time, and this escapes, does not return …

Master Lajolo: My system the Lajolo.

✔What other martial art if you had the time would you like to learn or want to learn?.

Master Lajolo: today the pancracy, but only for a deeper approach to our tradition.

✔ If you were to give advice to a person who wants to start what would you say to them?.

Master Lajolo: First of all to look around and choose a teacher who is balanced, a person who can communicate passion , then every discipline is valid, as long as there is a person prepared Physically and Mentally.

✔ A habit you recommend to those who practice martial arts?.

Master Lajolo: Not to live in habits but to evolve continuously, always changing and adapting.

The reality is multifaceted, so should the attitude.

✔ Is there any equipment you use and advice that is useful?.

Master Lajolo: All the ones you need to not get hurt.

✔ The best advice you have received?.

Master Lajolo: That of not listening to the advice, but of living life as a protagonist and not as a spectator. (I realized I had given advice….. ahahah)

✔ If I had to leave tomorrow morning starting from 0 what would you do?.
